Workshop: City/Region
Food Systems Sustainability

Call for abstracts

An interactive workshop organized in collaboration with the H2020 FoodE (foode.eu/) project within the framework of the 11th SPPS PhD Student Conference (sppsphd2020.fi/). The workshop will be a place to discuss about innovation and sustainability of city-region food systems (from where food is produced, to where it is processed and distributed).

The workshop welcomes scientific presentations on all aspects of city food systems, including innovative plant production systems, sustainability assessment, short food chain, urban agriculture, business models and the water-food-energy nexus within cities.

3 minutes to present your research project! And 2 minutes to discuss it with a Jury!

The best presentations will be awarded with a special certificate and a nice conference package. All accepted abstracts will be published in the workshop proceedings. Participants may also be invited to attend free of charge the 1st Winter School on Sustainable City-Region Food Systems that will take place in February 2021 at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
